Ancholme Lodge’s £750 donation sets Sea Cadets on the right road

Scunthorpe Sea Cadets put on a parade and inspection to say ‘thank you’ to members of Ancholme Lodge in Brigg for the £750 donation from the New Provincial Benevolent Fund. The money was put towards the Cadets’ minibus fund, and has enabled them to have their own bus for the Ships Company. PO Cullen, Officer in Charge, said “buying the minibus means that the cadets can attend more courses, events, competitions and local community events. This, in turn will boost their confidence, morale and social skills.”

This is the first minibus that the group have purchased for over 10 years, and will remove a barrier to wider participation for the cadets.
